About Mixed Martial Arts (MMA)
There is a saying that 90% of all fights end up on the ground. This is probably true however, 100% of fights start from standing.
Therefore, the system used at KLF Martial Arts includes techniques of Wrestling, Jiu Jitsu and Kick-Boxing.

Wrestling
Incorporating throw’s, take-downs and clinch work, Wrestling is an essential part of MMA training. Focusing upon techniques from Greco-Roman and Freestyle wrestling, a fighter can control where the fight takes place (simply speaking the fighter can take his opponent down to the ground or keep the fight standing).
Jiu Jitsu
Jiu Jitsu is the best ground fighting system ever created and incorporates joint locks, chokes, strangles and positional control. Jiu Jitsu has been a must have for MMA since the sport began. If you can’t fight on the ground, you CAN’T fight!
Kick-Boxing
This is the striking side of MMA. Punches, Kicks, Knees and Elbows both standing and on the ground make up Kick-Boxing for MMA.
Putting it all together
There is no point in being great at one aspect of the sport and terrible in all other areas. An MMA fighter needs to be well rounded with a full arsenal of skills. Also each area overlaps with each other. For example, you can strike while you wrestle or fight on the ground, you can wrestle when you are on the ground and you can submit from standing.
